Making Support More Accessible
The Youth Mental Health QR Code Initiative aims to make mental health resources easy for young people and families to find.
Scanning the QR code takes users to a mobile-friendly directory with crisis helplines like 000, Lifeline, Kids Helpline, & 13YARN, plus local services. No app or sign-up is needed, and personal data is not collected, ensuring private, immediate help.
The project partners with Manningham Council and The Pines, placing QR code flyers in visible locations including entrances, noticeboards, staff rooms, and restrooms. Expansion to other shopping centres in Manningham is planned. Digital flyers will be shared across media platforms to boost awareness and accessibility.
Rotary clubs and various community venues strongly support this initiative, confirming its relevance and value in timely mental health support.
